But when the accident happened, it thrust the rumors into the full light of day, with mainstream media outlets picking up on them and repeating them.But Woods is right when he says, in the statement, "Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions." That may be what our celebrity- and gossip-driven culture now demands, but the people of whom the demand is being made don't have to comply.Now that Woods has, in an indirect way, confessed to marital infidelity, I find his behavior in that regard very disappointing. But it's up to Elin whether Woods deserves to be punished, and in what way.
